Projects Director – Ken Hoskins

Ken is a Chartered Engineer (CEng) and is a Fellow (F) of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) again recognising his leadership in senior positions.  With demonstrated qualities influencing policy and strategy, managing risks, plans, resources, budgets and personnel.  Including Continued Professional Development (CPD) for himself and others.  Additionally, helping and managing complex technical and process issues, including actively promoting improvement initiatives.

Ken has worked across many different Business Sectors, including Manufacturing, Process, Power and Oil & Gas (Upstream and Downstream) in the UK and Overseas.  His senior roles included Senior Project Manager, Engineering Manager, Interface Manager and Delivery Manager, covering Greenfield, Brownfield and Decommissioning Projects and Contracts.  The latter Projects and Contracts varied in value from a few £ Million to multi £ Billion in value with many Millions of Man hours involved.

Complementing these leadership qualities Ken helped to set up a Charity, been a Trustee, trained as a counsellor, held various roles in Community groups including setting up a sports club and a Cub Scout Leader.  He has composed songs and performed two of these, along with playing in a few music groups, some of which he has led.  He is also a keen amateur photographer of many subjects including landscapes, nature, buildings and boats.

Ken’s extensive Project Management experience over 30 years with commensurate skills and abilities are recognised by his peers as an APM Registered Project Professional (RPP) with the Association for Project Management (APM).  The RPP is a pan-sector standard demonstrating responsible leadership and competences necessary for effective Project, Programme or Portfolio management.

Creative Arts Director – Janet Hoskins

Janet has worked for a number of companies and organisations including Associated Chemicals Co, ICI Fibres, Harborough District Council and the NHS.  These covered various roles including computer operation, administration, stakeholder liaison and the publishing of legal documents to the public.  She has also worked for a Charity providing counselling.

Janet has always enjoyed drawing and painting as well as other crafts including fabric crafts such as patchwork, quilting, applique, machine embroidery, soft toy making, soft furnishings and dressmaking.  In addition to these she also knits, crochets, tapestry and has designed and stitched a number of cross stitch projects.

Janet has run stalls at different Craft Fairs, including selling for profit and with others, manning stalls for Charity and Community Organisation raising funds.

Janet is joint leader of the Fellowship Group at her local church and is also involved with an Organisation which arranges speakers and social gathering for personnel within a local Business Sector.
